FAQs

  • This is totally indivdual. Some clients are happy after only a few sessions, while others want to continue working together for a lot longer. I work in an open-ended way, which means that you can decide how long you want to work together.

  • I know that the process of even finding a therapist can be totally overwhelming, and you’ve probably spent countless hours scrolling through Google and various directories before getting to this point.

    The process of starting therapy with me is pretty straightforward.

    We'll then set up a time to chat on the phone.

    During our call, we'll discuss what you hope to achieve through therapy, and you can ask any questions you have about me, my approach, or therapy in general.

    If you decide to move forward, we'll schedule our first session, and we'll take it from there!

  • The first therapy session is the same length as your future sessions, however, it will feel slightly different. It is an assesment session, during whIch am trying to get to know you as much as possible. Therefore, I will probably ask more questions than in future sessions, and we will probably jump from one topic to another more so than in future sessions.

    We are aiming for breadth rather than depth in a first sesson.

  • If you are unable to commit to the same appoinmet time for each sesion, we will still be able to wok together, but it would be better to work together online.

    While therapy works a lot better with the stabiity of the same appointment time each session, I understand that this doesn’t work for everyone (either due to working shifts, childcare, an so on), and so I will do my best to accommodate.

  • If you’re unable to make a scheduled appointment, and let me know with at least 24 hours’ notice, you won’t be charged for the session. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment start time, the full session fee will be payable.
